The New House

It is done, the move out is accomplished. We’ve found a house in our price category. It is about an quarter hour from Peace House as well as an quarter hour to the Old Quarter. The house is in a typical Vietnamese residential area. Small busy streets lined with vendors. New houses are being built, demolished the old residences. Vietnamese with their push carts or motorcycles drive cleverly their way to bypass the people. We live close to plenty universities. We assume to be the only foreigners in our block.

The three floor house is small and modest. However, it presents enough privacy for both of us. A sliding gate leads us into our living room. A door further is the kitchen. Use the small, I shouldn’t gain weight, stairway to get to my room. The room has space for a 1.20 m bed, wardrobe and a table. I have a private bathroom, too. The second floor, Joscha’s flooring, is equal in structure to mine. The third floor offers space for suitcases etc. and a door shows the way to our roof terrace. Yeah!!!

We currently furnish the apartment house with beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, refrigerator, gas stove, television and other small gimmicks. Now we aim to get cable TV and Internet. I’ll buy a motorbike soon, in order to mobility. My expenses are three or even four times larger than my income. This has to change…
