Hallo Vietnam / Hello Vietnam

Dies ist nun mein erster offizieller Eintrag.

Ab Januar 2008 heißt es: “Willkommen in Vietnam”!

Vietnam erstreckt sich in schmaler S-Form entlang der Ostküste der indochinesischen Halbinsel. Direkte Nachbarn sind China, Laos und Kambodscha. Mit 331 114 km² ist es etwa so groß wie Deutschland und mit einer Einwohnerzahl von rund 87 Millionen zählt es zu einem der dichtbesiedelsteten Länder Südostasiens. Die Amtssprache ist Vietnamesisch, das für uns Europäer nur äußerst schwer zu erlernen ist. Französisch ist ein Relikt aus der französischen Kolonialzeit und wird nur noch von einigen wenigen älteren Vietnamesen gesprochen. Wie dem auch sei, als kleine Einstimmung könnt ihr das Video „Bonjour Vietnam” betrachten.

Starting January 2008: “Welcome to Vietnam”!

Located in south east Asia, Vietnam borders Cambodia, Laos and China and stretches over 1600 km along the eastern coast of the Indochinese Peninsula. Vietnam is one of the countries that have a rapid population growth. Currently a population of about 87 million are registered. The official language of Vietnam is Vietnamese, spoken by the majority of the population. The use of French, a remnant of colonial times, is declining. However, as introduction you’ll see the Video “Bonjour Vietnam” below.
